Amy grew up in a small rural town in the Sierra Nevadas called Nevada City. She had an excellent pediatric dentist, which sparked her interest in dentistry. She completed dental school in San Francisco at the University of the Pacific, and her specialty training in pediatric dentistry at USC/Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Her hospital training provided extensive experience safely treating medically complex and developmentally disabled patients, as well as providing a strong background in pediatric trauma. After several years in private practice in Southern California, she is excited to now practice closer to friends and family in San Francisco.

In her free time, she enjoys snowboarding (with wrist guards), traveling with her partner, David, and reading at home with their 17-year-old dog Mia.

Fun fact: Dr. Amy’s favorite animal is a shark because they have lots of teeth!
